I’m not a huge gun nut, but the Kriss Vector with the 16inch barrell shroud has a certain appeal.

For the “why yes, I do work for the bad guy” in your life.

Looks cool. But to get any use out of the shroud you’d have to go subsonic. So its getting into big bore airgun territory.

According to wiki, the effective range, even in .45 is under 100 yards. (77 to be exact) So, this is meant for urban close combat I would assume.

I don’t think it’s a silencer, not sure why subsonic would help.

Barrel shouds are silencers. No baffles, but the same idea. The crown is inside the shroud, and allows gasses to expand before leaving the shroud.

Huh. Didn’t these have some bad reviews in the past?

Nah, not buying it. I searched around to refresh my memory on the topic, and barrel shrouds do not supress the weapon. Their purpose is for cosmetics and safety, to prevent you hand from touching a hot barrel or getting in front of a barrel on a short-barrelled weapon. In this case, it also makes it easier to shoot from a bench rest. Some barrel shrouds are attached permanently to comply with minimum barrel length laws.

Okay for that one...I have a few shrouded barrels that actually are sound suppressors, but then that’s airguns.

In that case I’d rather a shotgun.

For me this is one gun I never got, and personally I think they are not very good looking. I’d much rather have something like a UMP

Someday, my precious.

Nuts shouldn’t have guns.

Yeah, the UMP .45 looks nice. Never handled one though. I have handled a Vector and it felt very well made. Suprisingly ergonomic.

Cool?

Note to self:
When I become a supervillain, purchase 1,000 of these for my henchmen.

See yeah I haven’t held a Vector but by looking at it I feel like my right hand being so much higher than my left would feel weird

My buddy just got a new 9mm Scorpion, and he is buying the stamp to make it an SMB, and he bought the collapsible stock kit. It is super sweet.

I was a Marine so I get into all that. I like these new 1911 rifle conversions. You could bring the bits and get some more range if you needed it. And HK makes a 1911 now! Am I the only one excited by this? I used HK for everything possible, I did carry Sig Sauer 10mm pistols too.

Will you be attending the party? Should be great fun for everyone!

that thing looks amazing, but who is going to honestly buy that? an 8 round pistol caliber rifle?

That is wild. How many children does the HK 1911 cost?

*Shots fired*

Well some of their stuff is $1000 or a bit more, I would think around that. I don’t see a price from them directly. I saw a used one for $799.

That’s actually a pretty good price considering most nice 1911 pattern .45's are $1000+
